Detects Salmonella, Shigella, Campylobacter, Yersinia and E. coli O157:H7.

Indications for stool culture include: bloody diarrhea, fever, tenesmus, severe or persistent gastro-intestinal symptoms, recent travel to a third world country, known exposure to a bacterial agent.
